When it comes to saving money during the holidays, you begin to stress about the party you will be hosting. However, there are ways you can cut costs by shopping smart for your decor, food, and beverages:

  • For party invitations, keep costs down by e-mailing the invitations using sites like If you would prefer to do traditional mailed invitations, craft them yourself rather than buying them.
  • Keep the party on budget by picking a theme. Also, you don’t have to cover your entire home with decorations. Focus on the entry area, food table, and perhaps the bathroom.
  • Comparison shop for food by looking at coupons from your local grocery stores. Also, stay in season when it comes to the food and drinks you pick. Potluck style can also be an option to help you save money and allow people to show off their favorite holiday dishes as well!
