The Luck of the Irish…
The Month of March is full of celebrations in 2015! Daylight Savings Time, the beginning of Spring, Easter of course St. Patrick’s Day. March is also one of the most dangerous months on the road here in the United States due to local residents making poor driving decisions. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that last year during the month of March, over the week of St. Patrick’s day there are hundreds of accidents due to alcohol related cause.
Our staff here at Remland Insurance would highly recommend staying home on major holiday such as St. Patrick’s Day, but we are also realistic knowing you and your family could need to drive somewhere the evening of March 17th. We highly recommend making sure your current California auto insurance policy is up to date before you leave your home. Nights where it is more likely for intoxicated drivers on the road be aware of erratic driving, speeding, tailgating, slow driving speeds and in consistent signaling coming from any car. In any case such as the signals listed above, be sure to call your local police department and report a suspicious driver so they can investigate any unusual activity.
As an insurance provider, we like to think that all of our customers are excellent drivers and always act responsibly while on the road. We do not however trust the thousands of other vehicles driving home after leaving a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Be on the alert, and do your very best to stay off the road during major holidays. The more cars on the road, the greater chance there is for an error to occur. Stay safe this March and please contact Remland Insurance at any time if you have any questions regarding your current policy, or if you feel your auto insurance coverage needs to be reviewed.
