Remland Insurance will GO PURPLE the week of September 23, 2013
Join the Remland Insurance staff the week of September 23rd as we “Go Purple” in union with the Alzheimer’s Association and the Go Purple OC campaign. Our founder Bill Remland knows this battle ever to personally as his wife has been battling the disease for almost a decade now and is currently living in a local Alzheimer’s care facility. Our staff plans to participate by wearing purple, decorating our building, changing up our social media sites and more all week long in support of this great organization!
“More than 83,000 people in Orange County are living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, or are at immediate risk. Currently, the Orange County Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association serves only 26 percent of the affected population, leaving more than 60,000 people and their families without the care they need.
Great work is being done locally to help provide the necessary care and support for those who are affected by Alzheimer’s. However, with a projected 250,000 Orange County residents expected to contract the disease in the next 40 years, it becomes imperative that we do exponentially more to advance research, increase awareness through education and advocacy and expand our programs to reach the growing number in need.
GO Purple OC will bring much-needed visibility to Alzheimer’s disease and rally the community to join us in our efforts to provide help for those affected today and hope for a brighter tomorrow. Our goal is a world without Alzheimer’s.
During the week of September 23rd, the Alzheimer’s Association will GO Purple OC to feature the color purple on Orange County’s well-known landmarks, city halls, retail shopping centers, and more to increase awareness and inspire action.
We invite you to GO Purple and turn your social media channels purple during the week of September 23rd, start a Walk to End Alzheimer’s® team to raise funds for those affected by the disease or help the cause in some other manner. Visit www.gopurpleoc.com to learn more” and join our staff that week at we show our support and GO PURPLE!
