Remembering September 11th, Eleven Years Later…

Eleven years ago, our world changed forever. America was under attack, and the word “terrorism” had a new meaning in our hearts and souls. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost on the day that no American will soon forget, September 11th, 2001.
Many families lost loved ones, fire and police departments lost part of their force, and America went to war. The city of New York’s skyline forever changed and city officials went to work to clean-up the damage that happened when the Twin Towers fell.
Americans had never been so united. American Flags, posters and attire was seen across the 50 states, worn proudly in support of those who were lost in the attacks. The United States Military jumped into action, sending thousands of troops overseas, while thousands stayed here to protect our very own soil.
None of us will ever be the same, and we can remember the very place we were standing when the news broke about the first, and then second plane.
Roughly ten years later, the United States military and a brave 6-man team of Navy Seals took out America’s greatest threat last year, eliminating the master-mind behind future attacks. We are forever grateful to these brave souls who stormed into danger just to protect us.
As you remember 9/11 today, remember to pray for the families who are still grieving the loss of loved ones. Remember that “United We Stand” did not end a year after the attacks…and remember to hold your loved ones tight as we celebrate this great loss as a nation.
