Owning a home is a huge responsibility in today’s world. There are bills to pay, taxes you owe, maintenance to perform and of course you have to leave some time to enjoy the space you live in. Insuring your home properly is also a crucial part of protecting your “biggest” asset. Our staff highly recommends having your California home insurance reviewed annually along with updating your current policy with any major structural or aesthetic changes.

One way to ensure you take into account all the assets your home carries is to keep a running property inventory list. It can be simple written down on a document, stored in an email or even placed in a safety deposit box. We also highly recommend snapping some photos of your entire home and its contents in case any major loss would occur, they could help your insurance carrier process the claim easier.

The Remland Insurance website is equipped with a printable (or downloadable) “Home Inventory Guide” along with many other valuable forms.  This weekend, while you are“Spring Cleaning” away…take some time as a household to properly document important possessions and valuables around your home. Remland Insurance agents are here to help! If you have any questions about your existing or current California home insurance, please give our office a call today at 714) 532-3341 and we would be happy to review your policy or get you a quote for a new policy in the future.
