New Years Eve Is The Most Popular Holiday For AutoTheft

New Years Eve… A time for family, friends, new beginnings, celebrations…and car theft! Sounds like a perfect time to review your California auto insurance.

Did you know that New Years Eve is the leading holiday for reported auto theft? Last year over 2,800 cars were stolen on New Year’s Eve due to drivers leaving cars parked in lot’s overnight or in unfamiliar neighborhoods.

While most Americans are enjoying their day off and relaxing with friends, the auto thieves across America are planning the most successful night of their year, and we do NOT want you to fall victim of that this year!

A few precautions to take while celebrating of New Years:

  • Be safe, and always have a designated driver
  • Park in a well lit area, where many other cars are parked
  • Pay the extra few dollars to valet your vehicle
  • Make sure your California auto insurance policy is up to date

If you’re a AAA customer, they are offering a FREE community service program on New Year’s Eve to tow your car and take you home if you are unable. For further questions please contact: 800-222-4357

Be safe out there, and we hope you are able to ring in the New Year with great family and friends!
