National PB & J Day – Remland Insurance Staff Picks!

National PB & J Day – Remland Insurance Staff Picks!

pbj resize

Today, April 2nd is National Peanut Butter & Jelly day here in the United States and to celebrate we thought it would be a perfect time to share a little bit about our staff and their idea of a “perfect PB&J” sandwich. The Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich has a long history here in the states, and most people remember it from their childhood school lunches or an afterschool snack. It’s also the “go-to” lunch for young children playing at the park or at a birthday party.

Other fun variation of the sandwich have been made into cupcakes, donuts, quesadillas, cobblers, ice cream, popsicles, pop tarts and even chips!

The Remland Insurance staff each has their own favorite way to enjoy the delicious treat and here are our picks:

Gary – Boysenberry Jam, Butter (yes butter!), Crunchy Peanut Butter on Sourdough Bread

Rhonda – Strawberry Jam & Crunchy Peanut Butter on Whole Wheat Bread

Christi – Strawberry Jam & Almond Butter on Sprouted Organic Bread (Ezekiel Bread to be exact)

Jennifer – Strawberry Jam & Smooth Peanut Butter on White Bread

Sonya – Boysenberry Jam & Chunky Peanut Butter on Wheat Bread

Bill – Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Jam & Smooth Peanut Butter on Wheat Bread

Brian –   Strawberry Jam & Natural Peanut Butter on Sprouted Wheat Bread

We hope you enjoy and properly celebrate one of the greatest sandwiches ever created today! Make an after school snack or even dinner out of this delicious combo. For a fantastic dessert make sure and check out these delicious Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies.
