National Nutrition Month: Foods to Eat Daily

Learn which healthy foods you should eat every day.

March is National Nutrition Month!  In honor of this month, you should make an effort to improve your diet.  Not sure where to start your nutritional journey?  Here are some of the healthy foods you should eat every day.

Blueberries

These little berries are packed with more antioxidants than any other fruit in North America.  Studies suggest that blueberries can help prevent cancer, diabetes, and age-related memory changes.  Additionally, blueberries are a great source of vitamins A and C which are great for your cardiovascular health.

Spinach

As a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids and folate, eating spinach can reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, and osteoporosis.  Additionally, eating 1 cup or fresh spinach, or ½ cup of cooked spinach can provide enough lutein to fight off muscular degeneration.

Yogurt

Yogurt is full of calcium and is a great source of protein as well.  The probiotics in yogurt can reinforce the healthy bacteria in your body.  Additionally, consuming yogurt can boost your immune system and help protect against cancer.  However, keep in mind that not all yogurts are probiotic, so make sure you read labels carefully as you choose your yogurt.

These are just a few of the healthy foods you should eat every day.  Want another way to take care of your health this National Nutrition Month?  Then make sure you have the right health insurance to meet your needs.  To find the right policy for you, contact the professional at Remland Insurance in Orange, California.  Our dedicated insurance experts are ready to get you covered today.
