Everyone knows how stressful planning for the holidays can be. Between shopping, decorating your home, and prepping holiday meals, it’s almost a given that you will hit some minor (or major) speed bumps along the way.

Whether you are expecting a house full of extended relatives or are busy chasing after your children, Remland Insurance would like to share some helpful tips and tricks that can help transform your holiday season; resulting in less stress and more quality family time:

Plan Ahead

Make a list of what MUST get done to execute the perfect holiday gathering. Keep expectations realistic and budget extra time for anything else that needs your attention.

Expect the Unexpected

If traveling, always be prepared for delays. Check airline departure times, weather, and traffic. Prevent panic by having a plan B and be sure to keep a list of emergency contacts handy!

Set a Shopping Budget

Financially plan ahead and map out your holiday shopping budget. Be sure to stick to your plan to avoid impulse buys, over spending, and excess shopping.

Start Your Own Traditions

For young couples and families, there tends to be a lot of pressure to keep old-school family traditions alive. To help alleviate the stress, create your own holiday traditions that you can share with you growing family for years to come.

Remember the Reason for the Season

The holiday season is about spending time with your loved ones. Keep a smile on your face all season long. Encourage holiday cheer with some seasonal jokes, holiday music and more. Enjoy yourself and the company you are surrounded by!

Oh…and in case you lost track…Christmas is in TWENTY ONE DAYS!!!!
