Beauty Queens Need California Home Insurance Too!

Beauty Queens Need California Home Insurance Too!

In late February we heard some very sad news about the current Miss Washington’s crown, sash, purse, gowns and much more being stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of her home. The items that were stolen were priceless to the reigning beauty Queen because they were one-of-a-kind, engraved items specifically designed for her use. No one was harmed in this incident; however these types of circumstances require special coverage written into your California home insurance policy, not your California auto policy as many would expect.

The auto policy is strictly to protect your car in time of an accident or weather damages. The only policy that is written as an itemized list is your California home insurance policy. Each priceless item would have needed to be documented on her home insurance or renter’s policy to make sure that the proper coverage was provided.

We hope for the best in circumstances like this, and wish Miss Washington the very best in all she does. We hope this minor set-back in her year of service was avoided by including these items on the proper insurance policy. If you have any valuable possessions that are constantly transported in your vehicle, it may be wise to add those items to your California home insurance policy in an itemized list. You can never have too much insurance coverage in a time of need.
