The Community Foundation of Orange is proud to once again host the Field of Valor, an event to support our military in the greater Orange community. From November 10th -17th, Handy Park will be transformed into a sea of American flags, raising money for our local Veterans and Active Duty military and their families. 1,776 flags will be erected, each honoring and proudly recognizing those who are currently serving in the military, those who have served, and those who paid the ultimate price, giving their lives in service to our country. (All branches of the military, living or deceased, are included~ Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Reserves, POW, KIA, MIA)
A Military Service Tribute Tag will be attached to each sponsored flag. The week after the event, tags and flags, (not flagpole) may be picked up, or donated back to the CFO for the next Field of Valor. Please mark your selection on the Flag Tribute Form. Each full sized flag is made in America and will be attached to an 8′ flagpole.
All proceeds from the Field of Valor are distributed in the form of Grants to local non-profits serving our veterans/military. More information on grant recipients is on our website.
